Douglas Wilson Wilson has worked in political and community outreach for more than 16 years.
He has worked for many political campaigns. In 2014, he served as the late U.S. Senator Kay Hagan's State Political Director. Wilson also served as a Regional Field Director for President Barack Obama’s campaign in the SC Democratic Primary, and as the State Director of Constituency Outreach in SC during the 2008 Presidential General Election. He is the former Deputy Executive Director for the North Carolina Democratic Party and also served as the state party political director from 2012-2014 and the Second Vice Chair for the State Party from 2011-2012.His work in politics has allowed him to establish relationships with the DNC, DSCC and DCCC and other political organizations during his 16 years in federal, state and local politics. has also appeared on local media outlets such as WCNC NBC News Flashpoint in Charlotte, 92.10 Choice FM/Raleigh and has also been quoted in print media such as POLITICO, Reuters and the BBC. Wilson is also a trainer for the Congressional Black Caucus Political Education and Leadership Institute Political Development Leadership Program (PDLP) and Former Senior Advisor to State Senator Jeff Jackson’s US Senate Campaign.
Wilson received a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of South Carolina-Columbia in 2001 and his master’s in health administration from Pfeiffer University-Charlotte in 2005. In 2013 he received a graduate certificate in Healthcare Information Technology from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. Douglas and his wife, Tosha Wilson reside in Charlotte, NC.
